Progressive group wins QCCI polls

QUETTA, Nov 20: Progressive group of businessmen, headed by Sardar Mohammad Ali Jogezai, won all the 14 seats of associate class in the annual election of the Balochistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) on Thursday.

According to result, Mohammad Hashim Khan Tareen, Khalid Pervez Malik, Haji Abdullah, Shams-ul-Islam, Mohammad Farhat Hayat, Abdul Ahad, Abdullah Jan, Mohammad Yasin, Haji Sher Ali, Ishaq Ali, Haji Mohammad Akram, Malik Refat Ali, Mohammad Omar Dittu and Mohammad Ramzan were elected on associate class.

Voting for the 14 seats was held in the BCCI office. In the Election, 711 out of 1,862 votes, were polled. Eleven votes were rejected.

The Progressive group has already won 14 seats of corporate class. They are: Sardar Mohammad Anwar Jaffar, Amjad Ali Saddique, Abdul Razaq Baloch, Sahabzada Mohammad Khan, Shahid Latif Paracha, Alamgir Khan Durrani, Abdul Rauf, Kashif Nasim, Mohammad Aslam, Mohammad Asif, Mohammad Daud, Allaudin, Mohammad Dostan Khan and Safdar Zaman.

The rival group, headed by Agha Liaqaut Ali, boycotted the elections on both the classes.
