BALANCE YOUR LIFE!

Nowadays, we see students busy preparing for their exams all the time. We notice that most of the students neglect extracurricular activities like sports and talent hunt programmes as they think that they would “affect” their studies. Yes, it’s true they can really affect our studies and life too but in a positive way! Extracurricular activities can make us healthy, strong and energetic and we all are aware of the idea of “having a sound mind in a sound body”.

Co-curricular activities are of utmost importance for our personality and confidence development. They are of chief importance if we seek admission in a good foreign or local college or university. Along with your academic record, extra curricular activities also matter a lot. So guys, balance your life by participating in more and more co-curricular activities as they are important for your life and career.

THE CLIMATE DISASTER

We are living in this modern age but still facing major issues. Climate change is one of them. Day-by-day the level of carbon dioxide is rising. This causes global warming and destruction of ozone layer. Industrial waste, traffic pollution, deforestation and over population have made human life miserable. Latest studies say that next 50 years would be too horrible for living beings. The glaciers would melt and heaviest floods in oceans would cause millions of people to die in many countries. But this horrifying issue can be solved by using less fuel-excreting vehicles, growing more and more trees and keeping our cities neat and clean. Just think a little bit about it.

PLAGIARISM

I find it hard to believe Aisha Asif’s nerve. And I also find it hard to believe how some people can easily copy other people’s writings, and then actually send them to a magazine under their own name. Do they feel no guilt, no shame? Let me explain. The story printed last week under the title ‘How unfair!’, apparently ‘written’ by Aisha Asif, had been copied directly from the Cambridge Board’s O’ Levels English past papers. Only the names have been changed.

Aisha and others, who send copied stuff, should know that plagiarism is wrong. You cannot just claim something that someone else has written as your own. For one, it happens to be illegal, and it’s ethically wrong too. And how could you think that you’d never get caught, with so many people reading the magazine? Plagiarism is getting really common, so please people, don’t snatch others’ rights away just so you can get a few moments of fame!
